Oak View Group delivers $1.8 million profit to Polk County

Oak View Group, the operator of the Iowa Events Center, reported a $1,839,016 profit for Polk County in fiscal year 2025. This brings the cumulative return to Polk County since Oak View assumed management in 2004 to more than $20 million, according to a news release. The year included 346 hosted events, including the return of UFC Fight Night to Iowa for the first time in 25 years. In fiscal year 2025, there were 12 concerts and three comedy shows, down from 18 concerts and five comedy shows in fiscal year 2024. During the last fiscal year, the group also secured new naming rights deals for Casey’s Center and the EMC Expo Center and opened the new Junior Ballroom in the EMC Expo Center. Oak View’s also reported that nearly 92% of the events center’s energy use was from renewable sources and the company donated more than 21,000 pounds of food to Supply Hive to combat local food insecurity and over $35,000 in contributions 70 local organizations.
