Orchard Place Spelling Bee to be held March 8

Orchard Place will hold its Ninth Annual Spelling Bee on March 8 at People’s Court downtown. Three-person adult teams will compete for prizes in a wild spelling contest in which bribing the judges, outlandish costumes and rowdy cheering are all welcome. Twenty-five corporate teams are expected, along with large contingents of their fellow employees who will cheer them on.  Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. is the presenting sponsor of the event, which will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Orchard Place has set a fund-raising goal of $70,000 to help more than 10,000 children with emotional challenges it will serve this year.
