Palisade Systems Inc. has named Spencer Snedecor as its CEO, the Des Moines-based software company announced on Tuesday. Snedecor has more than 30 years of experience in leading technology companies, among them PGP Corp., a maker of e-mail privacy software that Symantec Corp. acquired last year for $300 million. Most recently, Snedecor was a principal with Ten X Consulting LLC, a consulting firm to information technology security companies. Palisade specializes in developing data loss prevention software for mid-size and small companies. Snedecor replaces former CEO Christian Renaud, who stepped down in October.
