The Greater Des Moines Partnership hosted a Chinese trade delegation on Thursday afternoon.

Partnership CEO Jay Byers welcomed the delegation, which included Zhang Qingwei, the governor of Hebei Province, and discussed Central Iowa’s expansive export opportunities with China. More than 130 business leaders, including 27 members of the Hebei Trade Delegation, attended the luncheon.

Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey, Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham, Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie, and representatives of the Greater Des Moines Sister Cities Commission were also in attendance.
