Peoples Co., an agricultural land services firm based in Clive, has announced a national awareness campaign to address the impending transfer of over 370 million acres, approximately 40% of U.S. farmland, expected by 2045. The initiative features “Map of My Kingdom,” a one-woman play by former Iowa Poet Laureate Mary Swander, spotlighting the emotional and financial challenges families face during farmland inheritance. As part of the campaign, Peoples Co. has released a free online video of the play with an introduction by President Steve Bruere, and has re-issued its “Your Farmland and the Future” whitepaper to guide landowners through the succession process.
