Perry in Des Moines: Raise lending cap
Texas Gov. Rick Perry told members of the Iowa Credit Union League last week that a lending limit should be lifted as a way to boost small businesses. The member business lending ceiling is 12.25 percent of assets, and many Iowa credit unions are near that limit, according to a news release from the credit union association, which held its annual convention last week in Des Moines.
