Philanthropy Day winners announced, to be recognized Nov. 18

The Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has selected the 2022 Philanthropy Day award winners. This group of philanthropic community leaders will be recognized on Nov. 18 at the 37th annual Philanthropy Day at the Community Choice Convention Center.

The winners are:

– Outstanding Large Corporate/Foundation Philanthropy – Athene
– Outstanding Small Corporate/Foundation Philanthropy – NCMIC
– Outstanding Individual Philanthropist – Joyce and Terry Lillis
– Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – Gerry Neugent
– Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy – Hailey and Riley Gojkovich
– Spirit of Philanthropy – Sam Chiodo

The Philanthropy Day awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa through their many generous contributions. This marks the 37th year the Central Iowa Chapter of AFP has participated in this national day of recognition, honoring philanthropists in communities throughout the United States.
   
The Association of Fundraising Professionals represents more than 30,000 fundraisers in 240 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. The Central Iowa Chapter of AFP represents nearly 100 nonprofits in the Central Iowa area.
