Pioneer set to open new facility
Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., a DuPont business, will have a grand opening celebration of its new $40 million Beaver Creek research facility in Johnston on Monday.
The facility, at 8501 N.W. 62nd Ave., is expected to add 400 jobs.
The grand opening is only open to employees and invited guests; U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, Gov. Terry Branstad, Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds and state Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey are expected to be in attendance.
