The Johnston Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan for a new office building for Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., an E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. subsidiary.

The plan will be up for consideration at the City Council’s meeting on March 3.

The site plan for a 41,080-square-foot building was submitted by Ryan Cos. Inc. and shows the new office building located in the southwest corner of the lot, which is located at Northwest 62nd Avenue and Crescent Chase. Julie Kenney, a spokeswoman for Pioneer, said 180 to 200 employees will move into the new complex.
