A random sample of 532 residents found that the community rated at or above the national average in 32 of 46 areas that were assessed. Here are some highlights:
- The condition/maintenance of sidewalks rated 31 percent above the national average.
- Walking and biking trails rated 25 percent above the national average.
- Overall quality of city services rated 20 percent above the national average.
- Customer service from city employees rated 19 percent above the national average.
- Overall feeling of safety in the city rated 18 percent above the national average.
- Overall cleanliness of city streets rated 18 percent above the national average.
- Police response time during an emergency rated 17 percent above the national average.
- Overall maintenance of city parks rated 15 percent above the national average.
Pleasant Hill should pay more attention to the condition of city streets, effectiveness of communications, and enforcement of city codes and ordinances, according to the survey. Find all results here.
