Polk City entrepreneur named SBDC Business of the Month

102 wordsAll Latest News, Lift IOWA, Retail and BusinessAmerica’s SBDC Iowa has named Amy Vohs, owner of Lil’ Sidekick in Polk City, as the winner of its statewide Business of the Month Award. Lil’ Sidekick produces a unique strap that attaches to car seats, high chairs and strollers, plus bikes, backpacks, purses and luggage. The strap is used to hold toys, spoons, baby bottles and water bottles, plus other items that kids tend to drop or throw on the floor. Vohs “has taken a problem common to every mom and has turned it into an international business,” said Christina Moffatt, regional director of the Mid Iowa SBDC. Read Vohs’ full story here.
