The Polk County treasurer’s office will open a satellite station for the payment of property taxes from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 31, the last day to pay taxes without accruing a penalty of 1.5 percent per month, at  Polk County River Place, 2309 Euclid Ave., Room 6. Accepted forms of payment at the satellite station are check, credit card, debit card and electronic check. Service fees apply to credit card, debit card and electronic check payments. Cash transactions will not be accepted. Property taxes also can be paid online. Mail-in payments must have a March 31 postmark.
