Polk supervisors announce gift for renovation of halfway house for addiction treatment
The Polk County Board of Supervisors announced a $58,000 gift to Prelude Behavioral Services earmarked for the Bernie Lorenz Recovery House to support infrastructure improvements. The Bernie Lorenz Recovery House is a 90-day transitional living home with counselors who provide recovery programming and services addressing the specific addiction treatment needs of women. Supervisor Angela Connolly will present the gift to Prelude Behavioral Services during a visit this afternoon.
