Sally Worley of Grimes started work today as the new executive director of Practical Farmers of Iowa. She takes the place of Teresa Opheim, who stepped down after leading the organization for 10 years. Opheim will remain with Practical Farmers of Iowa as a staff person based in Minneapolis focusing on farm transfers. Worley has been with the organization for eight years. She has a degree in horticulture and experience working on farms in Iowa, New York and Idaho.
