Average retail gasoline prices in Des Moines rose 7.8 cents per gallon in the week ending April 3, according to price-tracking website DesMoinesGasPrices.com.

The price averaged $3.58 per gallon on Sunday, which was 75.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day the previous year. Nationwide, the average price was $3.64 per gallon, 7.4 cents per gallon higher than the previous week and 79.3 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago.
