The Progress Industries board has appointed Sandy Ham as president and CEO of the nonprofit and the Progress Industries Foundation. Ham will lead the organization of nearly 300 employees in their work to provide programs and services that foster growth and opportunities for people with disabilities to live independently in the community. Ham has more than 30 years of operational leadership and financial management experience, including as director of finance for the Whirlpool Corp. in Amana. She holds a degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. Progress Industries has offices in Ames, Johnston and Newton.
