Texas Roadhouse

WHAT: Texas Roadhouse, a popular steakhouse chain based in Kentucky, plans to build a 7,100-square-foot restaurant in West Des Moines. The project is valued at $5.2 million, company officials have said.

WHERE: 6378 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines

UPDATE: A building on the site that had housed Fuddruckers was demolished this week. Fuddruckers, a hamburger chain, closed in September. Construction of Texas Roadhouse is expected to begin in February and the restaurant is anticipated to open in June.
