Proposed Medicaid cuts threaten jobs, group says
The Medicaid cuts proposed by Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives would place thousands of Iowa jobs and more than $1 billion in state business activity at risk, according to a report to be released today by Families USA. The report, titled “Jobs at Risk,” says the cuts would affect low-income and middle-class families, children, seniors and people with disabilities. U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin was scheduled to participate in the release of the report.
