Public ceremony for new Iowa justice on Nov. 18
David May, who was appointed to the Iowa Supreme Court in July, will take the oath of office during a public ceremony at 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Judicial Branch Building, 1111 E. Court Ave. Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Susan Christensen will administer the oath of office to May, who previously was on the Iowa Court of Appeals. May is filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Brent Appel.
