Public meeting set to discuss early federal flood maps for Des Moines

The city of Des Moines and Iowa Department of Natural Resources will have a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3 at Des Moines City Hall to discuss preliminary flood insurance rate maps that have been issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The maps can be viewed here. Residents who have questions or comments but cannot attend the meeting should contact Charles Lepak in the Des Moines Permit and Development Center at 515-283-4182 or calepak@dmgov.org.
