Public meetings scheduled for service center plan
The city of Des Moines’ Community Development Department will hold a pair of public meetings next week to present the city’s plan for a municipal service center to be built in the area of Southeast 14th Street and Scott Avenue.
The presentations will take place at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 20 at the Chesterfield Community Center, 2501 Maury St. The presentations will focus on the city’s immediate and future needs for relocating and consolidating city facilities. City staff members will be available to answer questions after the presentations.
