The Des Moines Art Center has announced that the Art Center Café, in partnership with la mie, is now open. The café returns after closing in December 2023 with a counter service eatery serving la mie’s patisserie as well as plated dishes, sandwiches, pastas, salads and more. Espresso and tea drinks, plus a selection of wine and beer, will also be offered. The Art Center Café plans to host a variety of special events including themed dinners, happy hours on Thursday and Friday evenings and Pizza Saturdays. A grand opening will be held Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, June 28, featuring menu specials, and music from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
