REG net income turns around in Q2
Ames-based Renewable Energy Group turned a year-ago loss into $33 million in net income in the second quarter, the company reported. The 78 cents per diluted share in net income was up from 90 cents in the same quarter last year, when the company showed a net loss of $34.8 million for the quarter. The company said better margins and an increase in gallons of renewable fuel sold helped improve results. Read the full release.
