Registration open for April 1 biotechnology summit

The Iowa Biotechnology Association has announced the keynote speakers for its upcoming Partnering for Growth forum April 1 in Ankeny. Speaking at the biotechnology summit will be Robb Fraley, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Monsanto Co.; Dr. Hank Harris, founder and president of Harrisvaccines Inc.; and Dr. Nicholas Vahanian, president and chief medical officer of NewLink Genetics Corp. Fraley will address the event regarding sustainability in the food supply; Harris and Vahanian will participate in a panel on breakthroughs in vaccines. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey, Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham and Biofuels Digest Editor and Publisher Jim Lane will also speak at the event. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at the FFA Enrichment Center at the Des Moines Area Community College campus in Ankeny. Click here to register.
