Report: Iowa gains professional and business services jobs over last five years
Iowa gained the seventh-most professional and business services jobs in the past five years, Bizjournals.com reported.
According to data compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Iowa gained 7,600 jobs in professional and business services from June 2006 to last month.
The state had 124,800 jobs in the sector as of June, which was a 6.49 percent increase over five years ago. Professional and business service jobs include occupations such as accounting, advertising, business consulting, computer programming and law. Iowa was one of 26 states to gain jobs. Texas gained the most with 84,900.
