Reynolds, not Branstad, to lead trade mission to South Korea and China
Gov. Terry Branstad today announced that Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will lead the upcoming trade mission to South Korea and China.
Branstad will remain in Iowa to negotiate the state’s budget. Branstad said in a press release that he is now awaiting a proposal from Senate Democrats, who walked away from negotiations last week. Failure to approve a budget by July 1 could cause a shutdown of the state government.
