Rockwell Collins claims title of Iowa’s most valuable brand under new evaluation
Rockwell Collins, a commercial and military aviation technology company headquartered in Cedar Rapids, is named Iowa’s most valuable brand under Brand Finance US 500’s latest brand evaluation study. The 2018 report ranks Rockwell Collins at 373rd nationally, following 112 percent year-on-year brand value growth, Brand Finance US 500 reports. Rockwell Collins’ brand value is established at $1.8 billion; total revenue this year is reported at $6.8 billion. Nationally, Amazon sits at No. 1 as America’s most valuable brand at $150.8 billion. Amazon passes Apple, which is in second place at $146.3 billion, and Google, which fell from first place to third at $120.9 billion. Brand Finance US 500 also reports that tech sector brands account for 30 percent of total brand value in the league, which is a combined $977 billion. This is the first year Brand Finance US 500 reported findings under the new ISO 2067 international standard on brand evaluation, which was adopted by the industry early in June 2018.
