Rolling Stone reporter to rock Des Moines

Rolling Stone contributor Jeff Goodell will speak about rising seas at the State Historical Building on July 20 as part of the Tomorrow Plan Speakers Series. Goodell, the author of “The Waters Will Rise: Rising Seas, Sinking Cities, and the Reshaping of the Civilized World,” also plans to speak July 21 as part of the National Alliance for Preservation Commissions Forum at Embassy Suites. Goodell, a native Californian who once worked for Apple, has written extensively about energy and the environment since joining Rolling Stone as a contributing editor for the magazine in 1995.
