The Theodore Roosevelt High School Foundation announced it has reached its fundraising goal for two initiatives at the school. The $3.32 million in donations will fund a new track and synthetic turf field and a new multimedia center, according to a press release. Construction on the track and field is underway and they will be available to students for the fall semester. Construction will start on the multimedia center in summer 2023. The campaign was driven by a volunteer committee of 22 community members and chaired by parent Brian Gentry, alumna Laura Leonard and parent Jackie Norris. “Our success should tell every student at TRHS that their community is invested in them and that we believe in their potential,” Norris said.
