Rowing event Saturday on the Des Moines River
With all the planning to make Des Moines’ waterways more accessible for recreation, you might want to check out the 33rd annual Head of the Des Moines Rowing Regatta Sept. 24. The 3-mile race takes place along the Des Moines River from the Botanical Gardens to Prospect Park and attracts more than 600 competitors from around the Midwest.
