Ruan Transportation Management Systems recently celebrated the completion of its new Ankeny Operating Center, a 16,500-square-foot facility that will serve as the company’s flagship operation. The company held a ribbon-cutting last week to commemorate the opening of the facility, which will house employees previously located at its Des Moines facility. According to a news release, operations team members, professional drivers and maintenance technicians are all now located at the Ankeny facility. Ninety drivers will dispatch from the facility, the release states. The building will also offer conference and training rooms and a designated outdoor space for in-truck driver training. There is also a state-of-the art maintenance shop on-site, where approximately 100 trucks can be serviced, and a wash bay for trucks and trailers. “This new facility offers our team members state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative workspace to better serve our growing customer base,” Ruan CEO Ben McLean said in a statement. “Central Iowa has always been our home, and we are thrilled to complete the vision for this new space and look forward to continuing to innovate and expand with our valued customers, team members, and future team members.”
