Sauer-Danfoss Inc. reported fourth-quarter net sales of $428.9 million, an increase of 54 percent from the fourth quarter of 2009.

Net income for the quarter was $126 million compared with a net loss of $74.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. For the year, the company reported net sales of $1.6 billion, up 42 percent from the previous year.

Net income for the year was $213.4 million, compared with a net loss of $345.8 million in 2009. Cash flow from operations in 2010 was $269.3 million. The company predicts a sales increase of 10 to 20 percent in 2011.
