Sauer-Danfoss reports sales rose sharply in 2010
Sauer-Danfoss Inc., an international manufacturer of hydraulic systems, reported that its sales increased 22 percent in 2010.
In a proxy statement filed April 28 with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said sales in the United States rose 26 percent last year. Sales in the construction and road building segment were up 105 percent worldwide, led by a 146 percent increase in the Asia-Pacific region.
“The agricultural market in the Americas showed improvement due to improving commodity prices,” according to the report, “while sales in Brazil benefited from a strong sugar-cane market. … The strong demand for tractors with hydraulic steering in India, which is reported as part of Europe, has contributed to the sales growth in the European market.”
