Seminar on reducing unplanned pregnancies Sept. 27

Iowa Initiative, a five-year program led by former Lt. Gov. Sally Pedersen aimed at finding ways to reduce unplanned pregnancies, will highlight its findings at a Sept.  27 seminar at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Two national experts, Dr. Wanda Barfield, director of the Reproductive Health Division of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and Sarah Brown, CEO of The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, will speak during the free event.
