The Iowa Senate has confirmed two appointments to the Iowa Lottery Commission board. Connor Flynn Jr. of Des Moines will fill a seat designated by state law for someone having marketing expertise. Mary Rathje of Marion will serve as the general member. Their four-year terms are May 1 through April 30, 2019. Flynn is chairman of the Lessing-Flynn advertising firm. Rathje is office manager and controller for Rathje Construction Co. State law requires that an accountant, lawyer, law enforcement officer and marketer have seats on the board.
