Simpson adds health and exercise science degree
Simpson College will add a degree program in health and exercise science beginning this fall. The program will replace the clinical health science and exercise science majors. “This is not a ‘one size fits all’ course of study,” Nicci Whalen, Sport Science and Health Education department chair, said in a statement. “Students can choose classes supported by professional organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association, to really customize their education.” Major areas covered will be human performance, clinical, and health and wellness.
