Simpson names Jay Simmons as new president
Jay Simmons has been named Simpson College’s 23rd president, the college announced today.
Simmons has been the president of Iowa Wesleyan College for the past four years, and was the vice president for academic affairs and dean at LaGrange College in Georgia from 1997 to 2008. (Read more about Simmons here)
Simmons will succeed John Byrd, who is retiring after eight years in the position.
The transition will take place in May.
