Sioux City-based CMBA Architects has acquired Levi Architecture, a firm based in Cedar Falls, allowing CMBA to serve a wider market and better serve its eastern Iowa clients, CMBA President and CEO Brian Crichton said.

A news release announcing the acquisition states that Levi is a rapidly growing firm that is known for its “synergy-driven design approach.”

“We’re looking forward to incorporating Levi’s expertise in innovative architecture into our work,” Crichton said in the release.

The acquisition will allow CMBA and Levi to collaborate on “innovative architectural solutions throughout eastern Iowa, serving a diverse range of industries and sectors.”

Levi’s portfolio includes multiple industries and project sizes, including health care and civic developments, areas also served by CMBA, which has offices in Sioux City, Des Moines, Spencer, Omaha, Neb., Grand Island, Neb., and Sioux Falls, S.D.

Dan Levi, founder and principal architect at Levi Architecture, said the firm is “honored to join forces with CMBA Architects.”

“Collaboration has always been at the heart of our practice, and this partnership represents the opportunity to continue to grow and innovate while staying true to our synergy-driven values,” he said in the release.
