Slightly more than half of Americans fret about their own debt ceilings
A study released today by Bankrate.com found that 58 percent of Americans track their spending against a monthly budget. Most likely to track spending were college graduates, 66 percent, and parents, 65 percent. The study found that people with a high school diploma or less, 52 percent, and households with less than $30,000 in annual income, 53 percent, were least likely to track spending. Geographically, residents of the Northeast, 53 percent, are less likely to track spending than their counterparts in other parts of the country.
