Social Club moves into Kirkwood Building
The Des Moines Social Club announced it is moving into the Kirkwood Building at 400 Walnut St.
The new location provides a 2,600-square-foot performance and event space, which will allow the club to continue theatrical productions, art events and classes.
The organization, which started in March 2009, was previously housed in the Kruidenier Cadillac building on Locust Street. The Kirkwood Building will serve as a temporary venue while the club evaluates options for a permanent downtown home.
