Social Media Club elects officers

The Social Media Club of Des Moines has elected its 2011-2012 officers and is in the process of adopting bylaws and establishing committees. Claire Celsi, owner of The Public Relations Project LLC, will serve as president of the nonprofit organization. Other newly elected board members include Caroline Jones, Tom Brazelton, Kate Schneider, Brett Trout, Kelly Sparks, Ben Cox, Suzanne Hall, Derek Balsley and Mike Templeton. The club, which is entering its second year, works to educate Central Iowans about social media and to assist businesses in connecting with the social media community. It has more than 650 members.
