Spring break: Des Moines University students will deliver health care in Honduras
Thirty-three Des Moines University students from seven of the university’s nine degree programs will spend March 17-25 providing health-care services in Honduras. The students will be joined by residents and faculty from the Mercy Family Residency Program at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and students and faculty from the Drake University College of Pharmacy. Donations of body soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bandages, antibiotic creams, multivitamins and Tylenol, aspirin and Motrin can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Des Moines University Global Health office, Academic Center, 3440 Grand Ave. For more information, call Chris Catrenich at 271-1425.
