State agencies to host reentry roundtable at Anamosa prison
The Iowa Department of Corrections and Iowa Workforce Development will co-host an Employer and Reentry Roundtable event for employers on Jan. 29 at the Anamosa State Penitentiary in Anamosa. The event is part of a series of employer roundtables launched by Gov. Kim Reynolds in November to encourage employers to hire Iowans who have been incarcerated. “The roundtable is focused on informing employers about peers who have successfully hired from this pool of returning citizens as well as programs and incentives available to employers who do so,” said Beth Townsend, director of Iowa Workforce Development.
