State leaders, advocates to gather for STEM Day at Capitol

102 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Innovation and EntrepreneurshipThe Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council will host STEM Day at the Capitol with nearly 200 Iowans showcasing their contributions to science, technology, engineering and mathematics on Feb. 19, the council announced this week. STEM Day at the Capitol will bring together supporters of quality STEM education at the Iowa capitol to showcase work happening across the state. This year, 23 exhibitors will represent programs from the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, including STEM Scale-Up programs, STEM BEST Award recipients and Computer Science is Elementary project representatives. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. with opening remarks by Gov. Kim Reynolds.
