Stop-smoking summit
The Iowa Tobacco Prevention Alliance and the American Lung Association will convene a tobacco cessation summit from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St. Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. The summit will focus on increasing access to employee cessation benefits, and lowering health-care costs by reducing the use of tobacco in the workplace. Click here to register.
