Street renaming to honor ‘Mr. Drake’
Drake University announced yesterday that Forest Avenue between 25th and 31st streets will be renamed. The stretch of road will be named Paul F. Morrison Way, in honor of Morrison, known by many as “Mr. Drake.” Morrison worked in the university’s athletics department as the athletics business manager and sports information director, and since his retirement in 1986 has continued to volunteer his time.
