Drawn to Greater Des Moines’ strong economy and job market, an Ohio developer is planning to build apartment complexes in Ankeny, Altoona and Waukee, according to DesMoinesRegister.com. Redwood Living, based outside Cleveland, builds what the company calls single-story apartments in buildings of four to six units. It plans a 170-unit project in the Prairie Trail area in south Ankeny, a 117-unit development on Adventureland Drive in Altoona, and roughly 100 units west of Alice’s Road and south of Douglas Avenue in Waukee.
