More than two-thirds of small business owners said monthly premium costs are their top concern about their current health care plan, according to results of a new survey released by the National Association for the Self-Employed. Additionally, 53 percent of those surveyed said they had either “low” or “very low” confidence they will be able to obtain both affordable and comprehensive health care coverage in 2015. The survey, conducted Oct. 27, 2014, through Jan. 19, included responses from 188 small business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs nationwide. More than 23 percent of the business owners surveyed said they are budgeting to spend more than $10,000 on health care expenses in 2015. Additionally, more than 80 percent of respondents said they did not qualify for tax subsidies and therefore would not be eligible for any assistance.
