Tallgrass co-op to open Sept. 15
Tallgrass Grocery Co-op will open on Sept. 15 with an open house, the cooperative announced today.
The opening date was set after the organization more than doubled its goal in recruiting members during the month of June. Tallgrass will be a retail grocery store located in Valley Junction at 116 Fifth St., West Des Moines. The store’s goal is to provide healthful, locally grown food.
A sneak-peek preview for co-op members will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 14. Opening day will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 15.
