Teeple joins Sukup Manufacturing as chief operating officer
Sukup Manufacturing Co. announced that John Teeple has joined the company’s executive team as chief operating officer. He has worked more than 23 years at John Deere in leadership positions in manufacturing, research and development, strategy, and technology, and most recently was head of worldwide business development for agriculture solutions for Amazon Web Services. “John has stellar experience in agriculture and manufacturing, and will be a valuable addition to our team,” said Steve Sukup, president and CEO. “As Sukup continues growing and technology is increasingly critical to farm and agriculture products, we are confident in John’s ability to work with our manufacturing operations, shipping, facility optimization, and product development teams.” The company announced the newly created role in February as part of a management team expansion. Teeple has a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Based in Sheffield, Sukup Manufacturing is the world’s largest family-owned and family-operated manufacturer of grain storage, drying and handling equipment, and steel buildings.
